Health & safety guidelines

Before your appointment

  • Note the 12-hour cancellation policy for all appointments. Although there are of course exceptions to this policy (see below), please keep this in mind when booking your appointments.

  • Please try to let me know as early as possible if you are feeling ill or unwell for your scheduled appointment, and we can reschedule. I will do the samesies.

  • If you are able, take a short moment before your session to sip water, take a deep breath, yawn, whatever you need to prepare for a focused session.

During your appointment

  • Let me know if there are any pressing needs or preferences for the day. This could range from needing to blast some music during your session (which I fully support) to your pinky-toe is fractured and you can’t bear any weight on your foot (we can still work with that!).

  • Need a more restorative session? Let me know and we’ll take it slow and lean towards the yummy stuff.

  • Exercise pushes us outside our comfort zone. It challenges our stamina and our tolerance for discomfort. That being said, it’s helpful to identify and differentiate between varying types of discomfort and communicate with me your comfort level as we go along. Any exercise can be modified, replaced, or skipped, no problemo. Sometimes problem-solving in this way can spark the most creative sessions!

  • I may at times ask you to zoom in on exercise details with outrageous precision. Some exercises might require your absolute undivided attention, or an exercise may challenge your coordination and become frustrating. Some sessions might briefly detour into a powerpoint presentation on a particular muscle or joint, it’s function and how it pertains to you. Just know it’s all in the name of love. It’s about the bigger picture: personal growth and caring for yourself.
